Belgian brothers by blood and by console, Dimitri Thivaios – Dimitri Vegas – born 1982 and Michael Thivaios – Like Mike – born 1985, are the quintessential house duo of the moment.
They debuted in 2007 with the track “Cocaine / Eivissa 2007” and just two years later caught the “attention of DJ Axwell who commissioned them to remix ‘Rotterdam City of Love’ by Abel Ramos for the” Axtone record label.
They debuted at Tomorrowland in 2010, also creating the festival anthem “Tomorrow (Give Into The Night)” together with Dada Life and Tara McDonald, released on their own label Smash The House.
Triumphant return to the festival the following year as well, together with Afrojack and the Nervo sisters to create the new anthem, this time titled “We See The World”.
In 2012 their single “Tomorrow Changed Today” was released, clearly surpassed in success the following year by the track “CHATTAHOOCHEE”, which soared to the top of the Beatport chart in less than 72 hours, confirming the skill and professionalism of the two DJs.
Incredible success at Tomorrowland 2013 that catapulted Dimitri and Mike to 6th place in DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs, allowing them to climb 32 positions compared to the previous year.
In 2014 came the final confirmation of their now enormous popularity: 2nd place in the DJ Mag chart.
DJMag’s Top 100 of 2015 crowned the Belgian duo, who swept away Dutch dominance and the ambitions of the two favorites, improving on their second position from 2014 and placing ahead of everyone to become the number 1 DJs in the world.
The brothers kicked off their 2016 with another number one, specifically on Billboard’s Dance Club Chart, the world’s most important music magazine. Credit goes to their hit “Higher Place” featuring Ne-Yo: the NBA chose it as the soundtrack for the Golden State Warriors’ winning run.
Dimitri Vegas Like Mike are an “Italian exclusive of JE|Just Entertainment, which has released the two latest singles by Dimitri Vegas Like Mike, ‘The Hum’ and ‘Higher Place’, and will also release their first album, scheduled for 2016. Also on JE|Just Entertainment, this summer saw the release of the compilation Tomorrowland Melodia, a triple CD signed by a true all-star team, an” authentic main stage lineup: Armin Van Buuren, Dimitri Vegas Like Mike, Martin Garrix, Oliver Heldens, Robin Schultz and Steve Angello.
